On August 10th, the Vaisnava Youth Bus Tour, led by the glorious devotees Manorama and Jaya Sri Radhe, visited Saranagati. Their only request was to have a program at Banabehari Mandir.

After a fun-filled day, we gathered at Banabehari Mandir around 6:30pm. Resident milkmaid Gopalanandini led an opening kirtan, after reciting the mangalacaranam. It was a deep and absorbing kirtan, which brought many to tears. She revealed afterward that she was intensely praying throughout for Yamuna Devi’s presence and blessings.

Following that, Kar gave a brief introduction about Yamuna Devi, Dinatarini Devi, and Sri Sri Radha Banabehari, and answered a few questions. Next the group read some passages from the book, and they were very appreciative of them.

Then Amala Harinam led the concluding kirtan, very tearfully and prayerfully. He had the privilege of doing kirtan with Yamuna and Dina on several occasions, and clearly he was remembering those times.

Finally, the bus tour participants were shown some memorabilia of Yamuna Devi, and then they went for a huge Saranagati feast.

Several took the initiative to remark how touched they were by the program. Even the local Saranagati youth revealed they hadn’t experienced kirtans like that for such a long time (since Yamuna and Dina left).

It was wonderful to share the Krishna Magic with such receptive and appreciative devotees.
